My Miracle story at the time of 11 years old.
This story is in 1st person, specifically from my mother's point of view.
Matthew █████ Hugley (█-██-████)
At 10 months old Matthew was dubbed
Failure To Thrive. He was not gaining the
proper amount of weight for his age.
They ran all kinds of tests on
Matthew, sent him to nutritionists and
specialists for years. All tests came
back negative for any problems.
The specialist wanted to do
exploratory surgery going down and
up his body and also putting a
feeding tube in his side.
Since all test’s came back
negative for any problems, we his
parents discussed this and said
we didnt think he would live thru
this procedure and all the weight
he would of lost in the process.
For years he only got up to
28LBS. He turned 5 yrs old and
still weighed 28 LBS. So I
prayed for a miracle for Matthew.
I also asked my prayer warriors at
church and family to pray for a miracle
also.
A couple weeks after he turned
5, I was up early doing my
daily devotions when Matthew
woke up, I left my
bible open on the foot stool and
went to Matthew to start the day.
I picked him up and rested his
body on my forearm as usual and
noticed some REAL weight on my
arm. I made him get weighed
in with no clothes on before getting
dressed for the day. I put him
on the scale, and to both our
surprise, the scale read 28.8 LBS!
I took off his little white cotton
socks and did it again. Yes, the
scale really read 28.8 LBS!
I started crying and told
Matthew he received a miracle.
I continued crying and praising
Jesus. I got him dressed for
the day and sat back down to
finish my devotions. As I sat
down, the bible was open to
Matthew 9:9. The heading of that
section said, “The calling of Matthew.”
I read that section about
Matthew the tax collector and I
was all alone in the living room, and
felt the Presence of Jesus
standing in front of me, across the room. He
stretched out his hand to me
and said, “Laura, Matthew will be
fine, I have Great plans for
him in my Kingdom.”
That next year Matthew gained
10LBS, and each year since is
growing and gaining weight, He is
now 11 yrs old, strong, smart and
62 LBS. Praise Jesus!!!
